A gang of six miscreants stormed into the house of Sahid Mahmud 3:30 am and shot him point blank. He died on the spot.

Attack/Description:

Mozammel was standing near Rajdhani Hotel opposite of Gulistan Cinema Hall at around 8:30 PM. Suddenly a gang of terrorists by micrbus came to the spot and started firing targeting Mozammel. He sustained four bullet injuries at different part of his body. He was immediately rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead at about 8:50 PM.

Attack/Description:

Manzurul Imam and his companion Advocate Bijon Bihari Mandol and a rickshawpuller received fatal injuries when a gang of 6 to 8 terrorists equipped with sophisticated firearms sprayed bullets and hurled a couple of powerful bombs on them at Shamsur Rahman Road at Mirzapore in Khulna city about 10:10 AM.

They were rushed to Garib-e-Newaz Hospital in a critical condition where the doctors declared Imam and the rickshawpuller dead.

A gang of 10 waylaid Hazrat Ali, also a member of Dhopada Union Parishad in the upazila, while he was returning home at about 10:30pm and knifed him to death.

Attack/Description:

The activists of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, the youth front of the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), threatened the AL activists with severe consequences if they went ahead with the destitute-feeding programme on August 15.

As the AL activists led by Afzal ignored the threat, a gang of Juba Dal activists, led by Selim, Pipon and Moslem, attacked Afzal's residence at about 7:30 PM and opened indiscriminate gunshots.

AL activist Abdul Kadir, brother of Afzal, died on the scene taking a hail of bullets, while Afzal, 30, and his associate Sukkur Ali, 35, were seriously injured.

A gang of about 12 came in an engine boat to his shop and shot Matiar and two of his employees, leaving them critically injured. He was rushed to the Bogra Mohmmad Ali Medical Hospital, where he died at about 11pm.

Attack/Description:

Tutul, son of BNP-backed ward commissioner candidate Abdur Rashid, and four other JCD activists, shot Shamsher Ali point blank when he was returning home after attending a procession at about 12 noon. Shamsher was hit in the chest and died on the spot.
