Attack/Description:

About 12 outlaws of Purba Bangla Communist Party intercepted Amjad Hossain when he was going to a phone office at around 8pm and the miscreants slaughtered him. After killing Amjad, also the headmaster of the Raninagar Pilot High School, the assailants left the scene firing shots and chanting slogans of the PBCP.

Attack/Description:

Palash and two of his friends were gossiping in a transport office (Sony Enterprise) at Kalyanpur BRTC bus stand. At that time, 10-armed JCD cadre arrived there and shot at them. Fatally injured Palash was immediately taken to the DMCH but the doctors declared him dead at about 4:15 pm.

A band of 10 armed men stopped Momtaz Uddin who was driving his bike with two party activists on the pillion seat and stabbed him with daggers at about 10.30 pm. On hearing the groans of the leader, local ran to the scene and rushed him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he bled to his death by 12pm.

Abdus Shahid went missing on June 4 (Wednesday). Police recovered his body from room 124 of Unique Hotel in town and his motorbike from a nearby petrol pump at about 11pm on Thursday.

Attack/Description:

Some armed goons abducted him on June 1, 2003 from a tea-stall near his house on Sunday and killed him. Local people found Eskander's body buried at the bank of river Halda at Azim Chowdhury Ghat in the same village on June 3, 2003. It is believed that Islami Chhatra Shibir cadres loyal to Amir Ali Bahini, a branch of Didar Bahini, might be involved in the abduction and killing.
