Attack/Description:

Matiur Rahman was brushing his teeth in front of his house. At about 8:30am, a gang of three came by a motorbike, shot Matiur point blank and made a swift escape. He died on the spot.

Attack/Description:

Rajib left his home for Dhaka at 8 pm on Friday. On the next day, his bullet-riddled body was found on the roadside at Kutiria area at Savar.

Unidentified miscreants ensured his death shooting him 13 round of bullet on different parts of his body including head, left eye, ear, right hand and shoulder.

Attack/Description:

Bikash Chandra Das was returning home from Bakergachhi bazar at 11 pm on Friday. Some unidentified miscreants abducted him and took him to the bank of a canal beside Bele Khal ground of the adjacent Subidhpur area. They chopped him indiscriminately, cut his temple of hands and legs and toss him in the canal. Police recovered his body in the morning on Saturday.

Aboni Baroi was on his way home in Kuralia village at about 11pm when a gang of assailants shot him. Seriously wounded, Aboni, in a desperate attempt to escape, dived into a nearby canal right behind his house. But the killers caught him. They fired several more shots at him and confirming his death left the place.

An armed group opened fire on Mohammad Kamaluddin at Bodumunshipara bridge while he was going to Patherhat bazar in the afternoon accompanied by two other workers. He died on the spot.

Attack/Description:

Terrorists numbering three to four lobbed a hand bomb at Shahin, son of Abdul Bari Pocha of the town, when he was in his business house.

Hearing the sound of explosion, local people rushed to the spot, took the victim to the Sadar Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.

Attack/Description:

After the October 1 2001 General Election, he had gone into hiding. He returned his home on the last May 8. On the following night, at about 3 am, some cadres of a BNP commissioner candidate of Gouranadi municipal election called him out of their house. He was missing since then.

Later, on the next day, his body was recovered from an abandoned place nearby Baro Kasba village in the morning.

Saiful returned home Saturday from his hideout to carry out campaign in favor of his cousin Nannu Khan, a commissioner candidate of the pourasabha election.

Attack/Description:

Ahsanullah Master attended the conference of a ward unit of the Awami Sechhashebak League. The killers entered the school compound from the backside, started firing and came to the dais where Ahsanullah Master was standing along with the local leaders. He received two bullets in his back and witnessing it Hafizur Rahman Mohal, a central leader of the Juba League, tried to save Ahsanullah Master from the hands of the assailants but they fired several round of gunshots targeting him and the MP from a point blank range.

After several minutes of the massacre, eight persons, including Ahsanullah Master, were rescued and taken to the Tongi Hospital from where four of them, including Ahsanullah Master, were shifted to Dhaka Chest Disease Hospital at about 1-30 pm. The MP was later shifted to the Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where the attending doctors declared him dead at about 3 pm.
