Attack/Description:

Ekram Elahi fell prey of 10 unidentified miscreants when he was returning home from his father-in-law’s house at Pathar Ghata area at about 12:15 a.m. The armed attackers stopped him when he reached at Kotwali crossing. They demanded money from him. The attackers took him at a secluded place and stabbed indiscriminately when he denied fulfilling their demand. Later, he was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) in a critical condition where he succumbed to his wounds at about 1:30 a.m.

Attack/Description:

Sahabuddin left his house at around 9 pm on Saturday to attend a wedding ceremony. Sahabuddin returned to the area after receiving a phone call from Kamal Mollah, a local BNP leader, who might have murdered him following a previous enmity. Being informed by local people, family members of Sahabuddin went tot he garage of Kamal Mollah at Mollpara and found the body of Sahabuddin lying on a rickshaw.
