"People didn't respond to their hartal. So, BNP has made common people hostage and is killing them by carrying out secret attacks, burning them alive and setting fire to public transports," she said. "Begum Zia has become stubborn that she will in no way participate in the upcoming polls as there is no scope for capturing power and vote rigging," Prime minister Sheikh Hasina said this while she was addressing a mammoth rally in kotalipara today. Mentioning that Awami League does not believe in vote rigging, she said vote belongs to people and "we have established democracy and ensured that public representatives would be elected through ballot."
