Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina accused BNP of spreading propaganda about the existence of uranium in flood water of haor areas, saying that they are resorting to falsehood about the issue to misguide the people.

 

The Cabinet today has approved the draft of a new law, Fisheries Quarantine Act, 2017, restricting import of any fish, fish goods, related microorganisms or packaging of fish items without license and prior government permission.

Bangladesh and Bhutan signed five instruments including three Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) and two agreements to further boost the bilateral ties between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, trade and commerce and culture.

 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today urged the Bhutanese government to expedite the process for ratifying the Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) Motor Vehicle Agreement and said that this initiative could be adjusted with the environmental concern of Bhutan.
