General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League has said that, the 18 party alliance lead by BNP has failed to make the condition of Bangladesh unsustainable with their march program towards Dhaka.
Khaleda Zia has failed again. Because her plans did not touch a chord with the masses,” he said.
The Awami League would not back down from the general election on Jan 5, the party spokesperson announced. He bashed leading citizens for advocating postponement of the polls.
The Awami League leader said the BNP could do nothing but create obstructions and stray incidents of violence during the programme.
Though the alliance could not hold its planned rally in the capital due to police obstacles, ruling party leaders and activists took to the street wielding batons.
Ashraf blamed activists of pro-BNP Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal and Jamaat-e-Islami’s student front Islami Chhatra Shibir for the Supreme Court incident.
