Face of a terrorist never matters, as terrorism is terrorism, which can't be allowed to continue" she said.
The Prime Minister said this while taking part in a discussion on a point of order initiated by treasury bench member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim in the House today.

While referring to the recent Rajshahi University incident, she, however, said everybody has the right of self-defence. Sheikh Hasina said those involved in the incident have been expelled from the BCL.

"I have ordered the IGP to take stern action against those involved in the incident. We never allowed injustice in the past," she said.

In this connection, the Prime Minister criticised the media and human rights organisations, saying that when a huge number of Chhatra League leaders and workers at Rajshahi University have become victims to the ruthless atrocities of the Jammat-Shibir clique, the media and human rights bodies remained silent at that time.

They did not even enquired about the state of being of the BCL leaders and workers when these young students fell into the beastly wrath of the Jamaat- Shibir at Rajshahi University and its adjoining areas, she said. Referring to the terrorist acts of Jamaat-Shibir across the country including the RU, the Leader of the House called upon the left-leaning student organizations to remain alert so that the student wing of Jamaat cannot enter the RU campus taking their movement as an advantage.

The Leader of the House also reiterated that her government won't allow anybody to use Bangladesh soil for terrorist acts. We won't allow anybody to use Bangladesh soil as a den of terrorism, she said.

In this connection, the Prime Minister illustrated her government's different steps against terrorism and said the immediate past five years of her governance was amply praised in the international arena for its bold step against terrorism and militancy.

She said in the past, Bangladesh soil was used for the terrorists from other countries. The separatists were given training in Bangladesh soil, while the BNP chairperson and many leaders of her party extended support to the separatism beyond the Bangladesh border by making open statements.

"Bangladesh is a sovereign country, which has earned its Independence under the leadership of Bangabandhu. So we cannot let out Bangladesh to be used for separatist movement of other country," she said. Referring to the 10-truck arms haul case, the Prime Minister said Hawa Bhaban and the BNP leader were involved in the country's largest-ever arms smuggling.
