Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina recalled that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu had installed earthen forts as "Mujib Kella" in coastlines, which are still now being used as cyclone shelters.

She said her government was ready to incorporate disaster risk reduction issues in all development programmes to develop a safer future for the new generation.

Referring to the Disaster Management Policy-2011, the Prime Minister said side by side with the government, all including non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society should come forward to form an effective disaster management infrastructure to reduce the post-disaster losses.

She wished the day a success.
