Digital World 2014: Country’s largest IT expo

This 4 day mega exposition will feature around 400 exhibitors from Bangladesh and abroad. Among them, many are policy-makers, senior government officials & ministers, industry leaders, civil society spokespersons, investors, multinational software vendors, representatives of ICT companies, international ICT associations, international development agencies, local software development firms, trainers, teachers and students.

The Prime Minister in her opening speech pointed out that works are on for establishing hi-tech parks in Gazipur, Jessore, Sylhet and Rajshahi districts and gradually such parks would be set up in every division and districts. She also pointed out that the government has established the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, which paves the way to implement the project to set up hi-tech parks, software technology parks and ICT incubators across the country.

The exhibition is an excellent opportunity for showcasing projects, programs and initiatives of government and private-sector agencies/corporations. It will also demonstrate innovative ICT products, solutions & applications for various domains covered under the scope of the event. It is a unique opportunity for national and global stakeholders to come together and exchange ideas and solutions regarding key elements of the technological advancement of the people.

Digital World 2014 is not only a showcase of Bangladesh’s achievements in the ICT sector but it also aims to learn from its global peers and provide a forum for free-flow of ideas and concepts enriched in current thoughts on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for development.
