The Prime Minister made the request when UK Minister of State for International Development Desmond Swayne called on her at the Walworth Academy here on the sidelines of the first-ever Girl Summit.
After the meeting, PM's Press secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury briefed reporters. He said the British state minister highly appreciated Bangladesh's continued success in achieving the MDGs.
Desmond Swayne also made a pledge to continue the DFID's assistance in the development of women and child education as well as removing poverty.
The Prime Minister congratulated Desmond Swayne on her election as a British state minister for the first time.
Sheikh Hasina is now on a three-day official visit to London to join the first-ever Girl Summit.
