ECNEC Okays three projects involving TK 270cr

The approval came from the 6th ECNEC meeting of the current fiscal held at the NEC conference room in city's Sher-e- Banglanagar with ECNEC Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Planning Minister A H M Mustofa Kamal, after the meeting, told reporters the three development projects will require a total cost of Taka 270.61 crore.The government will bear all the expenses from the national exchequer, he added.

He said the "Land Survey, Record Formulation and Preservation through Digitized System (First Phase: Computerization of Existing Mouza Maps and Khatians)(1st revised)" project aims to provide land related documents to the owners easily without any hassle.

Under the project, a total of 4,58,43,404 khatians (CS, SA and RS) that has been kept in the record rooms of 55 districts would be computerized using modern technology.

Ministry of Land has been entrusted with the task of implementing the project by June, 2016 involving Taka 92.78 crore.

The ECNEC also approved "Sineboard-Morelganj-Rayenda- Sharankhola-Bogi Road (1st revised)" project to develop it into a regional highway for better communication system.

Roads and Highways Department will implement the 52.15 Km long road project by June, 2016 with a cost of Taka 123.48 crore.

Another project "40 Feet long Air Breathing and Gas Fired Fire Fighting Training Gallery and Collecting Fire Fighting Rescue Equipment" involving Taka 54.35 crore was approved in today's ECNEC meeting.

Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense department will implement the project by June, 2016.

Ministers, State ministers, secretaries and officials concerned were present in the meeting.
