In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said the death of the legendary artiste is an irreparable loss for music arena of the country.
"The nation would ever-remember with gratitude her contribution to practise and research of Nazrul song," she said.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
The octogenarian Feroza Begum who had been suffering from heart and kidney diseases passed away in the city’s Apollo Hospital this evening at the age of 84.
