Belarus Shows Interest To Invest US$ 15 Million To Develop Bangladesh’s RMG Sector

Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail V Myasnikovich expressed the interest during a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the UN Headquarters here Yesterday morning on the sidelines of the 69th UN General Assembly.

After the meeting, PM's Media Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury briefed reporters.

He said the Belarusian Prime Minister congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her election as the Prime Minister for the third time.

Myasnikovich reiterated his government's commitment to continue cooperation with Bangladesh and the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said as a leading potash-producing country of the world, Belarus wants to export the product to Bangladesh.

He also showed interest to import world class pharmaceutical goods as well as agri products from Bangladesh.

In response, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed satisfaction over the existing friendly ties between Dhaka and Minsk and hoped that the relations would be strengthened further in the years to come.

She also put emphasis on boosting cooperation in the areas of investment and trade in the private sector of two countries.
