Bangladesh's economy rising in peaceful political situation:IMF

As the inward demands emerged the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has a possible increase of 6.25% in this fiscal year.

The head of mission and deputy head of the IMF Asia Pacific dept said this in a statement at the end of his 2 week tour to Bangladesh.

The statement was published on the IMF website on Tuesday night from Washington.

The IMF had approved an Extended Credit Facility(ECF) of $1 crore on April, 2012. Already disbursement of this loan had happened in 5 terms. And before disbursing the 6th term of about $14 crore, this IMF mission came to Dhaka to evaluate the initiatives/steps taken by Bangladesh on 17 September. Upon the report of this mission IMF will disburse their 6th term of this loan.
