His father Ruhul Amin is the President of 6 No. Ward Awami League of Shibgang. His family and neighbours have alleged that Jamaat Shibir has taken Rocky away at this untimely age simply for his father being an Awami League leader. Rocky was a student of Class 9 at Shibganj Ujirpur High School.
He was attacked with stick wielding Jamaat Shibir goons on Thursday as he went to play with his friends in a nearby mango garden in his own village of Shekhtola. He was recovered in critical condition and taken to Chapanawabganj Sadar Hospital.
After further deterioration of his situation, he was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. There he died on Friday at around 11.30 pm. Rocky recognized a number of people who attacked him. Before his death, he passed on the information of the assailants to others present. Their household was attacked earlier in 2013 by Jamaat-Shibir.
